What is a trigger zone?

<aside> šŸ’” ***A set area, drawn by the guide creator around a place, that is customized to each place to ensure that:

  1. The audio starts automatically playing at the right time at the right spot when visitors are on a tour.

  2. Visitors exploring the destination themselves reach the zone at the right time at the right spot and receive a notification that there is a place of interest they can learn about.

The app uses a GPS signal.***

SHAPE and SIZE

The most commonly employed trigger-zone shapes are circles and rectangles.

šŸ”µĀ CIRCLE

There is a circle trigger zone set by default in the system, it is 20m in radius

Combined with a low level of accuracy when determining a touristā€™s position, all of these can lead to a failure to activate the story.

2. SIZE of trigger zone

šŸ’”Ā Important to know:

šŸ”Ā In moderately built-up areas, increase the trigger zone by 10-15 meters in each direction.

šŸ™ļøĀ In heavily built-up areas (where there are skyscrapers or narrow streets in city centers), the potential accuracy of determining a touristā€™s position drops. The trigger-zone boundaries, therefore, need to be increased by 15-20 meters in each direction.
